From the very first communication with Dustin, to meeting him and performing the home inspection, Dustin was professional, acutely knowledgeable, courteous, and went beyond in providing the best service. His inspection was extremely thorough and when I expected to be overwhelmed with information, he explained everything in detail to me so I had a good understanding of every issue. And he spotted every single issue! His professional insight and unbiased information was very important to me because I knew how it would impact a very significant home-buying decision for me. If I could give Dustin a 10-STAR rating, I would! Dustin conducts his business with integrity and honesty, and from my personal experience, Dustin holds the highest principle in his industry.

Background information:
I am a potential homeowner and this home is now on escrow. This is an older home built in the 60's, on the slope with a decent view. On Day 1 when I was being shown the property, I have already emphasized to my agent that I would need a Home Inspector who is able to find out the Structural and Foundation condition of this home due to the property's age. After the first Home Inspection was done, I went over the Inspection Report. Although I could see pictures taken on the Report, the lack of explanations and descriptions on some pics prompted me to do my own research of finding a right Home Inspector. Because I have learned now that we should always do our research on finding our own Home Inspector. After reading 140 more of reviews, ALL Stars, and can't even find one given a 4.5 stars, I knew for sure Mr. Dustin Wallace was the one I needed. -- He is THE MAN all potential buyers should choose on the first shot for home inspection and you will be so satisfied with your choice. Because he is truly an ALL-IN-ONE Home Inspector with 10 plus years of experience , with an active General Contractor License as well as an only one Inspector with a Licence in Structural and Foundation Inspection in Lake County. On the top of of all those credentials, I have found Dustin has the following strengths that no other Home Inspector can compare.
1. Honesty and ethical
Dustin will provide a complete non-biased Home Inspection Report. This is all home buyers want because we all want to uncover and reveal the truth and concerns about the property we are purchasing. This is especially helpful for negotiation purpose with the seller.
2. Knowledgeable, Detailed Oriented
Dustin has been working in Construction work with his father since he was a very young child. His inspections is comprehensive and extensive, and yet his report is so easy to understand because there is always detailed descriptions and thorough explanation next to the picture taken.
3. Passion with his career
Dustin truly cares about his clients' homes and have much passion of what he is doing. He not only answers every single question you may have prior to doing an Inspection, but also follows up with you and see if you have any further question or concerns regarding the property inspection.
4. Punctual and Professional
Dustin is On time arriving at the property for inspection as well as On time delivering your report. He is very efficient but he will never rush a Report, because he wants to take his time to type up a detailed oriented and professional report to all his clients. After all, punctuality is a great virtue.
5. Price
Other Inspectors charges almost a hundred dollar more than what Dustin charges and their quality of work is not remotely close to what Dustin has done. Dustin 's price is the best, only $300 and it is a really a quality work that reflects all his knowledge, passion, ethics, and professionalism.
I am all thumbs up to Dustin's work and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to know their property of interest before they finalize their purchasing.

Dustin has exactly the disposition I look for in an inspector. He is driven by curiosity. Every home has problems. But, if I'm buying a home, I want to know what those problems are. Dustin takes great pride in ferreting out any issues you may have missed. As a licensed general contractor, Dustin knows the code and what the general best practices are. He will tell you what issues do not meet modern standards, but are still safe and not worth fixing and which problems require immediate attention.
Buying a home is a big deal. For many people, it is the single largest purchase in their lives. We love our real estate agents and most of us would be totally lost without them. However, you are better off choosing your own inspector and ignoring any unsolicited advice from agents. They want the sale to go through more than they want to find every possible problem.
Dustin wants to solve the riddle that is the home. He will see right past a false facade to the bones of the structure, revealing its true story and uncovering any concerns that others may have hoped you would not notice. His inspections are comprehensive and extensive and his reports show an attention to detail that is rare in the industry.
Dustin is attentive to the project at hand and professional while remaining personable and his prices are fair (a little low even). It is easy for me to recommend Dustin Wallace General Contractor Home Inspections to anyone who wants to know what they are getting into before they finalize their purchase of a new home!

I recently purchased a home and had two previous inspections done by two different companies, both in which I felt were incomplete and/or potentially may have left things out. Dustin's inspection would be the third inspection. One thing that stood out to me about his inspection company was that he is a current licensed contractor. I texted Dustin's work cell on a Saturday, he responded within minutes, and was able to schedule an appointment quickly. He showed up promptly at our scheduled date and asked if I had any primary concerns with the home (which I did). He spent several (yes several) hours inspecting the home from top to bottom and used two different drones to assist him (air drone to assist with the roof inspection and a land drone to inspect in areas of the crawl space that was too small). As I feared, he ended up finding additional items that neither previous inspectors found/reported, which was pretty upsetting, especially being a first time home owner. He took the time to explain and address all of my concerns, even reaching out to another licensed contractor for a second opinion on one concern, in which the second contractor confirmed his original answer. The final inspection report was impressive and thorough, over 60 pages in length. Overall he was thorough, professional, and provided a list of home repair businesses that he has worked with in the past and would vouch for. He was also cheaper than the previous two inspectors. I highly recommend Dustin, whether it be for an initial home purchase inspection or just to know the current condition of your home.

There are only so many superlatives that can be used to describe the professional aptitude that Dustin Wallace brings to the table. First off, he was prompt to respond to me, and communication is a huge part of my business. Second, he arrived to the home well ahead of schedule to get an early start on the outside. Then he went through every part of the house with hundreds of photos and details. Lastly, his report was in-depth, incredibly thorough, and also easy to understand. As a Realtor ordering lots of inspection reports, finding a quality home inspector who is also a licensed GC is practically impossible to find. The icing on the cake is that he uses drones for the roof and a custom built crawl space robot to take photos underneath the house. All I can say is that he is simply lightyears ahead of the competition. Dustin, thank you for going above and beyond to help me and my client on this home purchase. I will be using you every time in the future!

Number one on the list was to find a home inspector. We stumbled upon Dustin's blurb and it drew our attention. We loved that he had a video included where he details exactly what he does, how he does it, and is very explicit about his credentials. What stood out most to me was the fact that he freely discloses that given he is a licensed general contractor as well as a certified home inspector, if anything is missed, he is liable. That puts him in a vulnerable position. That candidness signals the confidence he has in his work. Additionally, as a licensed GC, he can include a range of pricing on what repairs may cost.
For the duration of the inspection he was constantly in contact, sending photos and videos. The final product was a comprehensive 70-page report detailing all of his findings, major and minor. He also adds a list of sub-contractors available to help make any necessary repairs -- he is not permitted to for 12 months after doing an inspection.
His passion about his work and its quality is self-evident.
Finding Dustin was heaven sent as he helped us in numerous other ways knowing we live in the Southland. He's also always available for consultations even after a job has been completed.
I give Dustin highest marks on all counts and yes, I will always turn to him for guidance on these types of matters. If you want a legit home inspection, I would highly recommend sticking with someone who knows how to build houses from scratch and who is knowledgeable about all codes and requirements for a home -- that's Dustin.
